CLOUDBURST BREWING
CASK EXCHANGE
Over the years, Westland has loaned whiskey casks to some of our favorite regional breweries, all in the spirit of camaraderie and kinship. As a result, we’ve built up a surprising inventory of beer casks. Our next Cask Exchange release features some from Cloudburst Brewing. Find whiskey specifications below, and join us with as we invite our friends from Cloudburst brewing for first pours at the distillery on August 26th.

WESTLAND
CASK EXCHANGE
From an early stage, Westland has forged partnerships with like-minded breweries in the greater Seattle and Washington State area. This has blossomed into a prolific back and forth trade and share of casks between distiller and brewer. Thus, the Cask Exchange program was born. Westland loans whiskey casks to esteemed brewers for use in barrel aging a wide variety of beers, and then retrieves the barrels later on to implement in cask finishes.
CREATIVITY COMES FIRST
Brewers who have participated in Westland’s Cask Exchange program have had the freedom to make whatever beers they fancy. As a result, Westland has grown an incredibly divers selection of beer casks to use for finishing.
COLLABORATION IS KEY
Trading casks back and forth has become mutually beneficial for both us at Westland and local brewers around us. Together we can do more than any of us could alone. There have been over seven cask exchange whiskeys to come of this program, and over twenty breweries to utilize Westland casks for barrel aging.
